Mason & His Family
Meet 15-year-old Mason and his loving family, our newest guests at The Alyssa House.
Mason was living life in West Virginia as your average teenage boy, when a regular case of strep throad took a turn for the worst.
Mason is now on life support in the UVA PICU from streptococcal toxic shock syndrome. Mason has been in a medically induced coma for almost a month and has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
Despite everything, Mason's mom says he's a fighter and has already overcome so many challenges.
He's not fighting alone either- his parents and siblings are staying close by at The Alyssa House and have been with him every step of the way.
