The Alyssa House, named for ten year old Alyssa Grace Divers, provides free housing and care to families of children in medical crisis.

The Alyssa House serves immunocompromised children receiving extensive medical care at University of Virginia Children's Hospital.

About Our Facility

Created for families who are away from home for their child’s medical treatment, this three bedroom, two bath house in Charlottesville offers not only a place to stay — but a place to find comfort and be together as a family.

The Alyssa House is located minutes away from UVA Children's Hospital, and accommodates families with up to six members.

All services at The Alyssa House are offered free of charge.

Immunocompromised Children

The private nature of The Alyssa House makes us uniquely suited to serve children whose immune systems have been compromised due to extensive medical treatment.

The Alyssa House serves families at the University of Virginia Pediatric Hematology & Oncology, Pediatric Organ Transplant, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and more.
