About Our Facility

Created for families who are away from home for their child’s medical treatment, this three bedroom, two bath house in Charlottesville offers not only a place to stay — but a place to find comfort and be together as a family.

The Alyssa House is located minutes away from UVA Children's Hospital, and accommodates families with up to six members.

All services at The Alyssa House are offered free of charge.

Immunocompromised Children

The private nature of The Alyssa House makes us uniquely suited to serve children whose immune systems have been compromised due to extensive medical treatment.

Our guests have bravely battled cancer, fought rare illnesses, and recovered from major organ transplants.
