An amazing update from a former Alyssa House family. 💙
Xavier was born weighing 1 lb. 2 oz., and was 11.8 inches long. His family stayed at The Alyssa House for four months while he was in the NICU.
TODAY, Xavier is 19 lbs, 3 oz. and is 30.5 inches tall! His mom reports he is starting to say a few words and loves to play with his big brother. Way to go Xavier!
Help support our newest Alyssa House family!
Meet Sawyer Brewster, age 3. Sawyer has had three open heart surgeries and has been in severe heart failure since October 21.
This happy, outgoing little boy has been patiently waiting in the hospital for FOUR months while awaiting a transplant. This has been hard on the whole family, but especially Sawyer and his three siblings.
The Alyssa House would like to help mom and dad with groceries to make their lives a little easie
This week we're sending a big Alyssa House thank you to Effort Church in Palmyra! Effort Church has funded several HUNDRED nights of completely free housing for families at The Alyssa House. From their youth group (some pictured here with Alyssa's Mommy!) to the congregation as a whole, we are so blessed to have Effort Baptist Church by our side. Thank you for for making such an incredible difference for children and families. The Alyssa House appreciates you more than words
We're sending a thankful shout-out to our friends at Ting Charlottesville! Ting has provided free crazy fast fiber internet at The Alyssa House ever since we first opened our doors.
Our families have been able to browse, stream, and remain connected with their loved ones while far from home, all thanks to Ting Charlottesville's great service!
Ting, thank you for supporting families of children in medical crisis. Learn more about Ting's local services at https://ting.com/i
